As Chaiman of the Boards of Directors, Dr. Blake will assist in ensuring that the work of the convention moves forward with the appropriate level of board involvement and actions. The Chairman of the Board will moderate board meetings as delegated by the President and will, in consultation with the President, set the meeting agenda. The Chairman of the Board will also undertake any special assignments as deemed necessary by the President. An active and informed board is critical to the work of the convention and will help GMBSC to appropriately explore opportunities, engage issues, advance causes and achieve goals expressed by the parent body. Dr. Blake’s wealth of knowledge through extensive years of service and experience with the convention will be a vital and invaluable resource.
