Greater New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Spirit-filled, Bible-

preaching, Christ-centered Pastor to lead our congregation in accordance with the Holy

Scriptures and the principles of the Missionary Baptist faith. We are seeking a shepherd who

demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, possesses strong biblical knowledge, and

is committed to preaching and teaching God's Word with clarity, compassion, and conviction. The

successful candidate will provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and visionary guidance while

equipping the congregation for ministry and community outreach.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

 Be a born-again believer with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.

 Be licensed and ordained as a Missionary Baptist minister or be eligible for recognition by a

Missionary Baptist church.

 Demonstrate a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and Christian character.

 Have a thorough knowledge of the Holy Bible and sound doctrinal beliefs consistent with the National Baptist Convention, USA, Incorporated/Missionary Baptist faith and teachings.

 Possess the ability to preach, teach, disciple, and provide pastoral care.

 Demonstrate strong leadership, administrative, and communication skills.

 Be committed to evangelism, discipleship, missions, and community outreach.

 Work collaboratively with church leadership, ministry leaders, deacons, and members.

 Have experience in church leadership and pastoral ministry (preferred).

Primary Responsibilities

The Pastor will:

 Preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 Provide spiritual leadership and vision for the church.

 Lead worship services and administer the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

 Provide pastoral care, counseling, visitation, and support to members and their families.

 Serve solely as pastor of this church

 Work with the Deacon Ministry and church leadership in promoting the mission and ministries of the church.

 Encourage spiritual growth through Bible study, prayer, discipleship, and Christian education.

 Support evangelism, outreach, and missions within the church and community.

 Ensure the church operates in accordance with its Constitution and Bylaws.

 Represent the church in the community and with local, state, and national Baptist organizations.
