Mississippi Baptist Seminary & Bible College serves clergy, laity, traditional students, and non-traditional students who desire biblical, theological, and practical preparation for Christian service.
The Seminary offers certificate, undergraduate, and graduate programs designed to equip students for ministry, Christian education, pastoral leadership, biblical studies, chaplaincy, and service to the Church and community.

Did you know that the MS Baptist Seminary and Bible College is:
Convention-Owned
The Mississippi Baptist Seminary and its extensions are owned and operated by the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi. It is, therefore, uniquely Baptist in its denominational affiliation and doctrine.
State-Wide
We have extensions in Oxford, Tupelo, Vicksburg, Canton, Natchez, and Gulfport. The main campus is in Jackson.
Conditionally Accredited
We are the only African-American seminary in the state recognized by the Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation and currently pursuing full accreditation by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

5th Sunday Seminary Campaign
GMBSC churches are encouraged to support the Seminary through a special 5th Sunday offering.
These gifts help support the accreditation process, staffing needs, and facility maintenance at the main campus. Churches may give online, mail a check to the Seminary, or request an invoice from the Convention for a desired quarterly contribution.
Legacy Builders Campaign
The Legacy Builders Campaign is a special giving opportunity created to support Mississippi Baptist Seminary & Bible College during this important accreditation season.
The campaign goal is to secure 10 Legacy Builders who will each make a $10,000 pledge, creating a $100,000 fund to provide critical operational support during the accreditation review period.
Support your Seminary with a 5th Sunday offering
We are asking all GMBSC churches to raise a special 5th Sunday offering throughout 2025 and donate those funds to the seminary quarterly.
This will help us to cover the costs associated with the accreditation process, hire new staff, and maintain the facilities at the main campus.
