GMBSC of MS, Inc. Announces Theme for New Session Year

Rooted, Ready, and Resolved, our convention's new theme, expresses our deep commitment to Christ, to the mission of Christian discipleship, and to serving in ways that embody the love of God in action.

GMBSC is Rooted in the truth of God’s Word and the rich legacy of faith that has sustained our people; we are Ready to equip and mobilize disciples who will boldly live out their witness in their church, community, and the world; we are Resolved to press forward with strength and clarity, building, restoring and creating institutions that honor God and serve generations yet to come.

As the oldest organized religious denomination of African Americans in the state, the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi continues to grow in its institutional presence, denominational witness, and Kingdom impact, bearing faithful testimony that “the Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.”
